DO YOU WANT TO WORK AS A DEVELOPMENT BANKER DURING YOUR STUDIES?
Foundation L-Earn for Impact is a pioneering educational programme from FMO, the Dutch Development Bank. The programme offers students from Erasmus University the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop valuable financial and legal skills in a “real world” context.
WHAT WE DO?
Every year, for a period of six months, two Masters students will join the Foundation L-Earn for Impact to gain practical experience and develop valuable financial and legal skills, by working on real client cases from FMO's portfolio. Utilizing the know-how of specialized FMO investment staff, the students will receive theory and practical trainings on relevant sectors, jurisdictions and case facts pertaining to the different assets they will work on. They learn the mechanics of restructurings, settlements, sale of shares and loans, bankruptcy procedures and liquidations. The students will immediately implement this theoretical knowledge in their day to day work . By succeeding in monetizing recoveries from non-performing loans and impaired equity investments, Foundation L-Earn for Impact will fund scholarships for high achieving low-income individuals from around the world.
